Café Butterfly

Beautiful café at the Himarë castle. I visited every day during my stay nearby and enjoyed the desserts, fresh made lemonade, tried a vegetarian dinner and also had probably one of the best cappuccinos of my life! It’s run by the sweetest people they treat you like family when you enter. I’m sad to leave and would definitely choose to stay nearby again so I could visit and have my coffee there everyday. Faleminderit!

An absolute must visit if you venture to the old town/Castle. The views are spectacular and the hospitality is excellent. The owners were a lovely couple both with a gorgeous welcoming energy. This added to the relaxed beauty of the place. Considering there was only one café I felt like I’d hit the jackpot with the atmosphere and the service. It was magical and a lovely place to refresh before walking down. Will definitely return if I’m in the area again.

The best!!! Super cute family owned cafe, hidden in an alleyway. The staff is so friendly and helpful, view is amazing and the cakes and drinks are great too!

A hidden gem but you must visit !! Really cute cafe and very much worth the walk up the hill. We got breakfast and it was delicious. It’s a family owned cafe but the service was great and really reasonable price. The view is incredible and so peaceful. I really recommend to go!!

If you ever happen to go to the Castle of Himara this is the best spot to visit. Incredible view with outstanding guests and nice food on the side! Would totally recommend!

This was the best food I’ve had in Himare. I got the beef in the oven, Greek salad and drinks. The family was lovely and the view is amazing. I wish I had more time to go back.

Absolutely stunning location. Lovely owners and excellent food. Just be aware that to get to the cafe, you have to walk through the castle grounds, and you may have to pay a couple of Euro to enter the grounds.

I stumbled upon this cute little café by chance while wandering around old Himara and I’m so glad I did. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had such a relaxed, lovely atmosphere. I was there sunset, and it was truly magical. The view is stunning, and I couldn’t believe I was the only one there. It really felt like a hidden gem. I ordered the shendetlie (a delicious Albanian dessert) and fresh lemon juice, which paired perfectly. It’s worth a visit not just for the view, but also for the great drinks, desserts, and peaceful vibe. A special little place I’ll definitely remember.
